Ladies!

I need some insight. I thought AF had arrived on Thursday (3 days early) since I had some light brownish discharge when I wiped. I had bad AF-like cramps on Wed and Thurs but not much yesterday. Only bad backache. I was convinced that upon waking up this morning I would wipe and see AF in full force.

It is currently Saturday, 6h40am in South Africa.

I just went to the loo to urinate and after wiping found...NOTHING. Could the discharge have been implantation spotting? And the bad cramps?

My period usually just arrives without any light spotting beforehand.

Should I run out and go get a test as soon as the shops open?

Ps - Today would be 12dpo and period due. 24day cycle.
