Dry pregnancy???

Is there really such a thing as a dry pregnancy?? My sister said that if your water breaks and you wait to long to deliver then when your giving birth it won't have lube

If your water breaks and you don't go into labour within 12 hours you should be induced so you don't get an infection. I've never heard about a "dry pregnancy". Kinda sounds like a myth to me.

Yes. My water broke 3 days before I delivered and it was a dry birth. It really made things worse. Unfortunately the hospital I went to didn't believe me that my water had broke and told me I wasn't in labor when I truly was.

With 1 of my pregnancies my water was ruptured the doctor told me It was piss 😒 when I finally went in 3 days later I was dry and I was 7cm dilated ...worse pain ever

That's not true at all, also some babies are born in caul (they are born in their amniotic sac, water doesn't break). I'm a childbirth doula and a midwifery student. I've seen mommas have their water break days before they deliver and they do great.

I'm sure there's enough blood and other liquidity stuff to keep things moist and moving along....

If the dr knows your water breaks they have you admitted to the hospital. If you're too early some times they are able to rebuild the fluid.. if you are far enough along they will deliver you within 24hrs or so... its not good to have a dry delivery and its very painful for morher and baby
