Have you had a good experience with paraguard (cooper IUD)??

Question

I know everyone’s body reacts differently to birth control, but I’m getting my cooper iud this week and I’m pretty nervous from some of the horror stories I’ve read. My doctor was reassuring me that those horror stories make up a very small percentage of women who get this IUD, but I’m still a bit skeptical. Please share your experiences with paraguard if you’d like, it would be very helpful :)) thank you❤️

I had my blood pressure drop during insertion because I was so afraid. Honestly, just felt like period cramps, nothing tylenol cant fix in my opinion. Then, for about 3 months, I had periods that were about 4 daysonger than usual and heavier. By the 4th month my periods are normal length but, heavier. Manageable flow but, heavier than pre iud. I can feel my strings as your dr might instruct u to do, up high like they should be. They are not felt otherwise. No hormonal fluctuations, no weight gain and NO PREGNANCIES 👍👍
