Sound/singing bowls during labor and delivery?

I haven’t had my first ultrasound yet so I still have a lot to figure out. I want a water birth but I’m not sure if they allow it at the hospital. I’m considering a birthing center but don’t know if I want to give up my doctors either. I will most likely use a doula to help me make a good decision and get the most out of any environment I choose. But I am wondering, has anyone used singing bowls during l&d? Was it okay using them in a hospital room? Do you think a doula would mind taking on that responsibility to play the bowl each time I’m contracting?
