Guys, I made it through a whole year with twins. It has been the hardest thing I have ever done, but I have survived, my marriage has survived, and my kids have survived! From the shock of a lifetime when I finally convinced my husband to have “just one more” and ending up with two despite no twins in our family, to me and both babies crying in the night, to going to put one baby in his crib and figuring out there was already one in there because it was the wrong crib (sleep deprivation!), and having to cancel their birthday party I put so much work into due to covid, and now having to cancel our mommy and daddy trip to celebrate surviving a year. But, I wouldn’t change anything! For all you moms struggling, it does get better! I find myself thinking all the time how lucky I am to experience so many things that people with only one baby at a time experience, even though I hated having twins for a while. Watching them play with each other, tickle each other, play peekaboo, and just love each other is the best reward!
