How long of a Hold before testing?

Hello...I’ve been tracking my cycle and taking OPKs but have yet to see a surge. I have PCOS so I know that there’s a chance I really am not ovulating. But, I just want to make sure I’m taking my test right. So my question is, how long should I hold my pee before taking an opk?
