Puppy??

Question

Have any of your gotten a puppy recently or after baby was born? How did your babe handle the new puppy and what kind of puppy do you have? 
We are moving and I just continue to debate if we should add a puppy to our lives and if we do what puppy will be best!

Personally, I recommend getting a puppy when your LO is a bit older. It was a lot of work when we got our dog and that was pre-baby. Potty training was a big deal and you’re supposed to take them out a lot. Plus, you have to consider vet visits. For puppy, when she was 2 I could see having a baby then because she was used to our home, the space and potty training. Just keep that in mind that there’s a good amount of training and discipline with a puppy so you know yourself best if you can raise a 1 year old and puppy at the same time. We have a Shih Tzu Bichon mix. They are the most adorable and friendly dogs. Loves companionship. Best wishes!

I wouldn’t because puppies are so much work plus 2 kids under 2. I would wait till the oldest is around 5.

We got a Great Dane when my son was 3 months old. They both have a great relation, the dog is so careful with him even if she’s so big! But unfortunately, we will have to give her to someone because my son is allergic to dog.
Just be prepare that it’s a lot to take care of a baby and a baby dog, but it’s worth it.

Don’t do it. We got a puppy when my daughter was 6 months and I regret it so much. It’s so much extra work I don’t have time for. I am not bonding with the dog because I just find him annoying. He’s fine with my daughter and she loves him, but it was a huge mistake.

Our dog was fine. She LOVES the dog and he loves her. He is really careful around her and let's her climb on him( I move her when I see her being too rough). He was about 6 months when we got him.
