Cycle days??

Question

I'm confused as to what cycle days actually mean. I'm really new to all of this so it's the 7th today does that mean I'm on cycle day 7???  I don't understand any of this haha

Cycle day 1 (cd1) is the first day of your period. Woman with a 28 day cycle (where your period would start day 29 I believe and then cycle resests) typical ovulate around cd 12-14. There's some great charts that tell you went you would typicall ovulate based on your cycle length. This is just my understanding! Only my first month ttc#2
