Water birth at hospital?

Was anyone able to have a water birth at the hospital? I know most will allow laboring in the water but I don’t know if they allow the actual birth. I would consider a birth center but I’m not sure if I’m willing to give up the hospital.

None that I know of actually allow the birthing in water.

The hospital I’m giving birth at allows them and even has a suite dedicated to water births (which I’m planning to use if it’s open). I’m surprised to see so many women comment their hospital doesn’t have one! I thought it was normal!

The hospital I want to deliver at allows water births and even has a birthing suit with a special tub! They also have a blow up one if the main tub is being used. I plan to do water birth if I can :)

Our hospital does allow it although few women qualify as there are many excluding medical factors. I know a few people who had water births in a hospital (not ours but not far away either).

In the uk we can birth in the water iv had 2 water births one bed birth and with this little one having another water birth

Neither of mu 2 choices offered water birth, one didn’t have a tub at all and the other required you to get out at 4cm or when your water broke, and you had to meet certain criteria in order to be able to use the tub at all

My original hospital of choice didn't allow it and neither did the hospital where I gave birth. They would allow you to labor in the shower for as long as you like. I think of you want a water birth a birthing center may be your best bet. I don't know where you live but the few birthing centers I know of are very close to the hospital if for some reason you have to go there

Neither of the 2 hospitals I've given birth at allowed water births. It was against their policy, for insurance and accident purposes.
