I was so excited to get accepted to some of the top schools in the country for my major. Unfortunately, they're ridiculously expensive private universities that my family simply can't afford without going into crippling debt. I had my heart set on Carnegie Mellon, and at first glance my Dad said he could afford it, but this past week he pivoted and told me it was too expensive. I can't help but be extremely disappointed. With quarantine and cancelled senior year events and now this, I just feel like I have nothing to look forward to anymore. On social media, I see everyone I know getting the chance to accept admission to ivies and other brand-name schools, and I can't help but feel a little bit resentful of my situation :(

This was more of a rant than anything else, but I know that in the end, everything will work out, and I'll still get a good education if I work hard, wherever I end up. There's just so much uncertainty in the world right now, and its stressing me out.
