Husband constantly criticizes my cooking

I don’t know if he realizes he does it, but he can be really fucking rude sometimes. I don’t think he was raised to learn how to be nice and grateful and polite. 😒

I love to cook. I love to eat. I spend time making a meal plan, shopping for the ingredients, spending anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours cooking dinner... and the only feedback I get is silence or complaints. “This tastes weird. I don’t feel like eating that. This is tough/dry/salty.”

It’s so frustrating. Ok so I’m not Martha Stewart, but Jesus, would it be so hard to say something positive? I’ve asked him to cook once a week to take pressure off of me but that hasn’t happened.

I’ve made a few things in the past that have been praised by other people who tasted it, and he either stays silent or doesn’t even try it. I keep seeing women brag about their husbands being human garbage disposals who love everything they cook and I WISH my husband was like that. It sucks to work so hard on dinner only to be met with ungratefulness or complaints.
