Should I ask him out for after lockdown is over?

I've been talking to a boy a few weeks before we went into lockdown in the Uk which was like 2 months ago almost. We are still talking right now but I was thinking of asking him out for after. Even though nothing will be open like bars and pubs, I was thinking of something simple like a walk or a drive or something. The problem is he told me that he doesn't want to rush anything with anyone. That put me off asking him out but I really do like him and think we do get on well over text. Do you think I should still ask?

He's never mentioned anything about meeting up by the way so that also makes me think he might not be that interested and is only talking to me because he's bored during lockdown
