UTIs help?

I just got a UTI and I was wondering if there's any way to make it go away faster other than cranberry juice (it makes me sick). Also, is it possible I got it from tampons or something because my period just ended yesterday and I'm not too sure how I could've gotten it!

Girl, if you have a UTI you neeeeed to get antibiotics. If you try to cure it with home remedies or leave it too long it can spread to your kidneys and/or become a blood infection. That or become a chronic problem. The antibiotics are cheap and easy to get you can even do it at the CVS minute clinic for under $200 if u don't have insurance.

Psa: GO TO THE DOCTOR. I have had chronic UTI's my whole life (since about age 4) and I used to get so sick of being in treatment that I wouldn't tell anyone I was having symptoms. It got to the point where they were getting so bad and so chronic that the infection spread to my kidneys and caused them to begin to fail. (Age 7-9) I have had multiple surgeries since and only have one functioning kidney. UTI's are no joke ladies. No matter if you got them from tampons, or sex, or natural causes go to the doctor. So much better to be safe then sorry. A few doses of antibiotics could mean all the difference!!!

Drink plenty of water and get some antibiotics. You can also get cranberry tablets so you don't have to drink the juice

Parsley tea, loads of it. Works for me and I get chronic uti's BUT if you get a high fever then go to the doctors because they means you won't get is of it without antibiotics xxx

-cranberry pills 
-hiprex an over the counter pill that works as an antibiotic 
-buy lots of bottles of water and drink a whole bottle every hour or so. 
-probiotics specifically targeted for UTIs and thrush (available at chemists)
- wipe front to back when going to the toilet (prevents UTIs from happening)
-or shower/use shower head after the toilet if you are experiencing irritation
-ice in a sandwich bag helps with the pain and numbs a bit
-ural (available at a chemist) helps with pain during urination
