Should my husband and I call a lawyer

So on the 20th my husband and I went in to have our daughter. A tiny back story , I suffer from extremely bad migraines , my drs has put me on two medications. Tylenol 3 and Fioricet, so I gave the hospital my medication list , and virberaly told them the medications . So the nurse that was putting me into the system, mind you I been going to this hospital since I was a baby and they have all my information, so the nurse had put that I was no longer taking the Fioricet. So when they did the tox screen on the baby they found the Fioricet, now all my drs knew I was on these medications . I been on the Fioricet for over ten years . So instead of the birthing center calling my drs to make sure they jumped the gun and called Cps. Now I already have bad anxiety, and depression, on top of it I just went thru a major surgery, and to find out day later my daughter is not doing well with the formula that the hospital provides. She had lost so much weight , and as soon as my husband and I started asking questions of why did they call Cps knowing my drs are right upstairs, they shipped my daughter out to the nicu and discharged me from the hospital so quickly I was shocked. Now we are going thru the Cps case , doing everything they say , my daughter is home from the nicu doing great but I lost the first days of her life because of anxiety and depression and not being able to focus on her , should my husband and I contact a lawyer? I feel like the hospital jumped the gun in reporting us , like I know the are mandated to report but shouldn’t they have to report correctly?
