Homemade hummus

Na

I made hummus today! It was super easy and delicious. 😋

Here’s my recipe

Ingredients:

15oz can of chickpeas

2 tbsp tahini

3 or 4 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp salt

3 raw garlic cloves

Optional:

2 ice cubes, which helps keep it smooth and fluffy.

Optional: skin the chickpeas for a smoother consistency.

To do that: soak the canned chickpeas in water with 1.5 tsp baking soda. Leave 5 minutes, then one by one rub the chickpeas between two fingers, and the membranes should slide off. It’s time consuming, but worth it!

Put the chickpeas in the food processor, blitz for a minute. Add the other ingredients and purée until desired consistency (about five minutes). Plate and drizzle with olive oil and spices (I used paprika, zaatar, and fresh parsley). Enjoy!
