30-60 min drive for $15 per hour?? Would you do it?

I'm thinking even though it pays well, it may not be well enough for the drive. I'd probably break even and then in that case maybe I should just find something lower paying closer to home?? Idk...

I think it also depends on how economic your vehicle is with gas. Mine can go a while on one tank so I would take the job. But if I was driving a car like my mother's SUV that guzzles gas by just turning it on lol I'd probably reconsider.

I make $11.20 and drive an hour one way to work. I spend about $200 a month in gas and take home about $1100 a month after taxes.

Ha! Where I live you'd have to drive an hour to get into the city to make that, otherwise everything is just minimum wage. I had a job for a year that paid very competively for the area ($9.00 per hour) and drove 30 mins to get to there. I'd definitely drive that long for $15, but it's really all relative to how fuel efficient your car is, how competitive the pay is in your area and what the trade offs are compared to going to a closer but lower paying job. I make 15 dollars an hour and my commute is 6 minutes. I dont honestly think it would be worth even a 20 minute drive to get there.

Where I live that's a pretty decent commute. Most people commute into the city, and with the gridlock it takes a lot of people 1h+ to get in 😁

I drive 40-45mins+ each way for $18+/hr and i just sit at a desk, answer one phone whenever it rings and check in patients; usually 15 total a week. I do it because I love my company, obviously the pay is good for what I do, it's flexible with my school schedule as well as my 2 young children's schedule and it's right down the road from my children's daycare if anywhere were to ever happen
