Swaddles ???

Question

The Velcro swaddles , or the “Love to dream” zip-up swaddle that lets them raise their arms???
I can’t decide which ones to get since they aren’t cheap ranging at around $30 - $50 I don’t want too many , and don’t want something they’ll outgrow right away . Help please with your previous experience & pros & cons .

My son really likes the Love to Dream swaddle. He likes to have his hands by his face, so he was always fighting against his traditional swaddles. I really liked the Halo SleepSack, which zips and velcros. If he didn’t want his hands by his face, I definitely would’ve stuck with those. Both I and baby both totally hated the SwaddleMe style. Also, the ones that squeeze their legs together are not hip healthy.

My boy did better with the Velcro swaddles, we also had the love to dream one and he didn’t like it, it also felt like the zipper was way too close to the throat for comfort. I was sad I wasted the money but maybe our future babies will enjoy it. You won’t know though unless you try them, I’d start with the cheapest option first.

Look in Facebook marketplace for some they are gently used. You can always wash them in hot water and detergent. I got a bunch of different kinds of swaddles for $10-20 each on Facebook or at consignment shops

We loved our Velcro one. We only had the one (I think it was 0-6 month sized). Once he started rolling around we stopped using it. He had his best sleep with it on, though! I would get two just so that you can use one when washing the other.

I did both... but much prefer the Love to Dream and so did my daughter! It made it so easy to transition her from swaddling as well.

We’ve just got standard swaddle blankets to do it ourselves - no velcro, zips etc

I only tried the velcro swaddled and I hated them personally lol, I preferred to just use the recieving blanket.
