Medication while pregnant

Ive been really sick most of my pregnancy and trying not to take anything. I finally ended up so sick and dehydrated my dr put me on promethazine. She said its safr during pregnancy but the more i read about it the less comfortable im feeling taking it. Is it safe to take or not ?
