First trimester ends what week?

So what is it? I hear, 12 weeks.. 13 weeks... or 14 weeks 😳

Second trimester is the start of week 14. There is so much debate on it among pregnant women, but the OB will tell you 14 weeks, and if you go to Pinterest or google and look up trimester charts, they all show 14 weeks also. I’ve seen 4 OBs between two different practices over the course of my last pregnancy and this one, and they all say 14 weeks also

I've also been told 14 weeks is the start of 2nd trimester. If they consider 40 weeks full term divide by 3 is 13.3 weeks.

For some reason the UK and USA differ on this! The 🇬🇧 guidelines say 13 weeks, and the 🇺🇸 say 14 🤷🏼‍♀️
