Can a teething fever be 102.2?

Noticed last night he felt very warm fever was at 100.5, 102 this morning and went down to 99.4 now it’s back up to 102.2 his front two teeth are just cutting through

No, or st least not from what my pediatrician said. They told me if it's over 101 it's not because of teething

We’re going through this right now. Day 4 of 102/103 fever (no other symptoms). Doc said to just give Tylenol to make baby more comfortable. If it goes to 5 days, they’ll do a video call. She said right now they don’t want ya bringing baby to urgent care or hospital. Just too dangerous.

Teeth do not cause fever , infection does .

His pediatrician said that’s a little high for a teething fever. Taking him to urgent care shortly as the regular office won’t see anyone with a fever or cough 😩

Our little guy was teething hard a month ago and had a low grade temp during that time like 99-100 so we just brushed it off as a temp from teething. Then that nifjr he started getting super sad and clingy and spiked a temp to 103, we took him in and he tested positive for influenza. Definitely don’t brush that high of a temp off as teething related!

I would just call the pediatrician and ask for their professional advice. I don't think that teething would cause a fever that high.
