What do you consider “dry texting”

My guy friend told me to stop texting so “dry” but idek what I was doing to make it seem like that?

It means that you don’t continue a conversation or you answer with “cool” “ok” “yeah”. Like when you are talking about something continue then ask questions or talk about what you’re doing like don’t let the conversation die. But I mean with a friend people don’t usually act “dry” bc you’re comfortable around them so you talk about whatever. Do you not like talking to your friend?

You’re not continuing conversation or starting a new topic. I have a friend that will only ever reply with “bet” “cool” “I’m sorry” and things like that, won’t ask questions, won’t continue on a topic or start a new one. Drives me crazy

Maybe he feels like conversation from your end doesn’t have any depth or go beyond basic stuff? You could just take out the middle man here though and just ask him because only he knows what he really means by that.
