QUESTION and my csection experience

Hey ladies !

Finallyyyyy after 41 weeks , I got severe contractions on saturday afternoon 2mins apart. I had a scheduled csection for monday, but I guess baby boy had other plans. After almost 12 hours of labor, i was dilated by 8cm and my water broke on it's own, but baby could not fit down my birth canal. They then tried pitocin which caused babys heartbeat to drop, so they stopped it immediately and waited to see if he could just do it on his own. After what had felt like years, the medical staff came to a decision that the baby was not going to fit, so from there I was prepped for a csection.

My csection experience was amazing. I felt nothing and the whole process lasted about maybe an hour. After of about 12 hrs after my csection, the nurse came in and removed my catheter and had me walk. It was painful and sore to walk and I felt a little dizzy..

I went back to bed to rest for 4 hours and then the nurse came back in my room to see if i was able to pee yet.

When i got back up, I did not feel dizzy, just sore and it felt ok to walk, but I could not pee. Not sure if i need more water or I'm afraid to. I dont really have the urge..

Just wondering if any other mamas on here had a csection and if they had a similar experience .? Also, how long does it take to recover.? I know im not going to recover over night, but how did you feel 24 hours after or a week or 2... were you able to pee and move bowels.?
