His job is to be a father to his children. This may sound harsh but the mom is no longer his problem. Some people go above and beyond and are still there for there exes but it’s not a requirement. To be a good dad he just needs to be there helping raise his children. A SO does those other things for the mom, it’s not the exes responsibility.

That’s not the definition of a deadbeat. My man doesn’t want shat to do with his ex but he’s active in the lives of his kids. He even took her to court and set up custody and visitation so she could never withhold them from him again. He has them from Saturday to Monday every week and most times she’s calling to see if he can keep them longer. He’s in no way a deadbeat but he’s not at all interested in her personal life. He’s interested in his kids lives. And no he don’t pay child support and still isn’t a deadbeat.

No. He’s being a dad, he’s contributing to his children, taking care of his children, and being there for his children. He doesn’t have to do anything for the mother of his kids aside from be respectful and communicate about the children. I dont see how this would be considered a deadbeat. A deadbeat is a father that doesnt see his children or contribute to their childrens life in anyway
