I didn’t get a stimulus check. What can I do?

I qualify for the check and so does my husband. I worked in 2019 but not 2018. We had our 2019 taxes done like end of March early April. I was suppose to get it. We filed jointly but the check came and it’s only $1,200 for my husband. This isn’t fair. I’m suppose to get a check too. Is there anything I can do?

If he claimed you as a dependent you dont get anything and dont qualify for anything because your an adult dependent. So did he claim you as a dependent or no? The 2019 taxes wouldn't have been processed and finalized before the check went out

If you didn’t work in 2019 and he claimed you as a dependent, you don’t get one.

It’s probably because you did your taxes later. With my family, the going trend is those who did their taxes early got theirs and people who did theirs later haven’t yet.

I do taxes.  While it's hard to gauge, depending on when you submitted your return, and the IRS didn't disclose the cutoff date, they can review 2018 or 2019 for the disbursement.  There is a portal on the IRS website and you can't type your info in and it will provide status on your stimulus payment.
