Meningitis vaccine??

I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant with my son, I’m due July 3rd. I plan on taking college classes starting August 24th. In order for me to start I’ve had to have a meningitis shot within the past 5 years. I don’t remember getting it before even starting high school so I’m pretty sure I’m not up to date. My shot record is somewhere at my mothers so we have to look for it and i had an appointment today with my obgyn but i forgot to ask. My question is, is it safe to get that vaccine while pregnant or even breast feeding if i have to wait til i have him to get it? Of course I’m gonna talk to my doctor about it but i just wanted to see if any of y’all know, i stress out about the smallest things

Your dr can give a medical exemption. See if your college accepts them. They should. If not, you could make a mistake on your forms and get confused thinking you probably got it,  and then actually get it once baby arrives. Vaccines during pregnancy are quite under-researched, so to be blunt, I wouldn't get it regardless of what my dr said, until after the birth, especially since this one isn't given commonly like dtap. Especially if you're not living in the dorms, your chances of getting it are low, and the really bad meningitis you hear about is actually the bacterial strain, and isn't vaccine preventable.

Best bet is to listen to your doctor. They’ll know whether it’s safe. It most likely isn’t while pregnant because I think the only safe ones are tdap and the flu shot, so it’ll probably my have to wait til afterwards.

I don’t think it’s safe for pregnancy, no vaccine is tested for pregnancy safety but you should ask your doctor and read the insert and adverse effects

I would double check with you ob doc and maybe ask a pediatrician just to be on the safe side. But I wouldn’t recommend getting meningitis vaccine while pregnant.  
Also not sure what state but you might be able to ask at the clinic if they have a state record. Like here in Minnesota we have a website at the clinic that we use it’s Minnesota immunization information connection.   Or your clinic should be able to print you off your immunization records that they have.
