When should I test?

My periods havent been this late since before I had a cyst taken off my right ovary. My Fiance and I dont use protection..I took a test two days ago and said it was negitve. I havent had any symptoms but constantly feel like my period is coming but it has yet to come, I've been having sharp pains in that area, back pain because of it, and my stomach acid has been up like crazy. I'm not sure what to expect cause I have never had a kid before. Should I wait a few more days and retake it..or wait
