1 st pregnancy
I just wanted to share my experience so far. I find in comforting knowing other women have gone through/ are going through similar experiences. Last November I decided I no longer wanted to be in birth control. My husband and I always said we’d plan to get pregnant in spring time so I could be “big” pregnant by the holidays. However, 2020 was suppose to be the year we traveled. We had multiple trips planned and then COVID-19 hit.... I was planning to be in Cabo at the end of March and in a wedding in May. Once our county enforced “stay at home” we decided now is the time to start trying. We had already been tracking my mensuration, ovulation and sex to be safe. Then, we started trying! It took about 2 months and I had a feeling the day before my first missed period I was pregnant. So, I took a test. We both totally expected it to be negative because every time in the past it has been negative. But, it said “pregnant”! We were so excited and in disbelief. I immediately called to make my first appointment and went out to buy a prenatal. Ever since we have been giddy. The only symptoms I have had are nausea, cramping, tender breasts and frequent urination. Last night we decided to tell our sisters (the first to know) and they are all so happy and excited! One didn’t believe us at first because we’ve pranked her in the past. Anyways, it was super exciting to share the news with those closest to us and we are biting our nails waiting for my first prenatal visit. We don’t plan to tell our parents until June (11 weeks). We are so ecstatic! I have been logging in an app that my husband gets notifications from. I have been keeping a journal for keepsake and plan to take bump photos weekly. We both are listening to pregnancy podcasts and want to read some books. Any suggestions? I could go on and on but, that is all for now :)
