When to call OB

I have been having some issues with *TMI* diarrhea for the past few days. I am not dehydrated. I’m just worried about proper nutrition for myself and the baby!￼ Just wanna know if or when I should call my OB. Don’t wanna be a pain for them.

I am also always worried about being a pain to my OB, and every time I ask a question they reassure me.  It's their job, they want you to feel supported, they don't want you to feel stressed, and I guarantee there are women who ask more questions than you do!  I think it's always good to get reassurance from your doctor if you feel concerned.  Trust your gut and trust that your doctor is there to help you throughout pregnancy!

I got a stomach bug (both end problems) with baby one and called my ob. He said that baby is safe, just don’t get dehydrated. I was told to drink Gatorade and that Imodium would be a good idea. Popsicles, Imodium and tums were the lifesaver!

I had this for over a week a few weeks ago along with vomiting. As I was drinking and I was able to keep fluid down they weren’t worried. It does say on the NHS guidelines (UK) over 3 days to contact your midwife so they can assess symptoms. I was all good in the end.

Unless it is severe and you are feeling dehydrated, I wouldn’t worry too much. Just keep drinking lots of fluids to replenish what you’re losing!
