How to get started

I feel like nothing works 😭 I don't eat fast food and I hate soda 🤢 I drink sooooo much water. I just don't know where to start. I want a baby so bad and my doctor says I need to lose at least 40 pounds maybe more. I've started walking and doing body weight exercises at home and I feel like I'm making no progress at all. Any tips for how to get started? What helped?
