Not in my job description!

Just venting here.

I am a regular babysitter for a family and am only required to take care of the kids’ (1, 3, & 3) basic needs, which are breakfast and lunch, diaper changes, playtime, etc.

The mother started taking advantage of my services by continuously leaving dishes from dinner piled in the sink. There are always so many dishes in the sink that I have no choice but to wash them because I need to use them for the kids’ lunches. Now she leaves them frequently, and I have begun to leave them right where they stand because I am nothing close to a maid, nor am I being compensated for any extra services that I am being asked/expected to provide.

Yesterday, she asked me to cook some chicken for her to shred for dinner. She also asked me to give them baths because they “wouldn’t do it for her”.

Today, she told me that a bunk bed would be delivered today and I asked her if the delivery guy would be bringing it in. She said no, and continued rushing to get ready for work. The bed has been delivered and this woman expects me to lug in two 100 pound boxes of metal into her home without any compensation?????

It’s still sitting outside. Am I wrong for leaving it sitting right there on the porch?

UPDATE:

She just sent a text explaining that she can’t afford to pay me for last week after I’ve already worked the whole week! She owes me $315 and told me that there is a $50 visa gift card in the cabinet that I can have. She says she’s low on cash due to moving and just put down the deposit for almost $2000. None of this is my problem and is none of my concern. She knew she wouldn’t have the money and still had me work.

I’m livid at this point.
