Subchronic hemorrhage?

I just went for an ultrasound with my fertility dr. Measured one week behind suspected due date. So I am only 5 weeks 5 days. He found a large blood clot next to the baby. :'( we did see a heartbeat flickering on the screen. He has me on pelvic rest and we go back next Friday. Anyone else experience this and continue on with their pregnancy. ? ​

I have one too, and just spent two weeks off work because of it. From what I can see, it often just goes away in the second trimester and lots of women don't have any symptoms at all. Doctors have been saying rest and drink lots of water, plus no lifting, exercise etc. I have a 12-week u/s on Monday so am hopeful that it will have shrunk a bit.

I was diagnosed with a SCH at just over 5 weeks. I'm now 16 weeks and the pregnancy is going well. I was put on pelvic rest with orders to "take it easy." They discovered it when I had a huge bleed (bright red and through my pants) that landed me in th ER. Since then, I've had brown spotting on a couple of occasions that they attributed to the SCH resolving itself.  My doctor told me to try not to worry about it as it typically resolves itself no problem and the pregnancy will continue. 
​Try not to stress too much about it. I know that is easier said than done. My last ultrasound was at just over 7 weeks and the pregnancy had progressed since the first ultrasojnd and my SCH had gotten smaller. I should know whether it's completely gone at my next ultrasound at 19 weeks.

The little circle is the baby. The large thing next to it is the blood clot. He just said it could go either way and they'll know more next Friday and see how the baby is progressing. ....

This happened to me! Except at my ultrasound they told me it was a twin pregnancy but one didn't make it :( (wasn't the case) anyway, at 11 weeks the sch burst landing me in the ER thinking I was having a miscarriage. Nope! Baby was fine (turns 18 months this month.) I learned that as many as 1 in 3 pregnancies have this but not all burst. It's extremely common. Also learned that bleeding without cramping is a good sign that it's sch over miscarriage. If I'd known all this I'd have saved myself an ER bill ;)
