Does anyone else get annoyed by people posting a short list of symptoms and asking if they're pregnant on here instead of going to get a pregnancy test and finding out?

I'm more concerned with how dismissive people are when giving their "medical advice." If someone has discharge or odor, they need to see a doctor! Many STIs and STDs have similar symptoms and self treating incorrectly can lead to fertility problems. So I'm sad to see people give self treating advice based on symptoms alone.

You have no idea how crazy that makes me. Or when they describe every symptom that comes along with af and ask if they are pregnant!

Honestly, I stay out of ALL the ttc rooms now. The constant tweaking, symptom checking & tww count down were making me obsessive & hyper-vigilant. It has helped so much for me personally to avoid these groups. I only participate in CC....this is why I find it incredibly irritating to see post here related to these topics because I'm trying to be pro-active with my own sanity!

I usually ignore them. In 5 years, 5 months of trying I've symptom spotted so much. Some months I even have new symptoms. When I actually got pregnant in June the only sign I had was being super exhausted and a late period. It ended in a miscarriage. Since then I've had so many "signs" and still nothing. It sucks pms and early pregnancy mimic each other so closely. But honestly no "symptoms" are going to 100 percent tell you whether you are or not. I've Googled so many bfp threads and had the same signs to the letter as someone who's had a bfp and af still came.

Also the "I'm really sick do you think it could be twins?" Yes multiples are a blessing but I have triple the worry of a single pregnancy!

I only did once and it's because I was scared to talk to my mom about what I thought was an UTI (ended up being a kidney infection) and didn't know what to do. I mean the pregnancy ones and kinda irritating but I just scroll past.
