Would you still go?

I haven’t taken my son in for his 1 year checkup yet because when you enter the clinic everyone checks in at the same desk. Even people going to urgent care, ob, the blood lab, etc. They also don’t have a separate waiting room for sick people. What would y’all do?

wait girl. don’t go!! It’s ok if your little one is healthy and gets their 12mo chk up a little late. We are living over seas where the majority doesn’t speak english. My son will turn one this wknd. We go back home to Canada July. We will do his 12 mo chk up then bcuz of covid.

My doctor's office is doing well visits only and only one parent can go with the child, i also have to wear a mask when I go. I was super worried about it but the clinic seems to be taking care of us. I actually have to switch doctors because our pediatrician left for a new location so I switched locations to a Children's Physicians and I think that alone is helpful since there won't be any other clinic inside.

Ask if they have procedures. We went yesterday and had to call from the parking lot and wait till a clean room was ready. We got our temps taken outside the door and escorted to a room right away. Only one parent was allowed in. They handed out masks. Super easy! I’d call if I was you and just inquire.

Yeah most pediatric offices are trying to do things to accommodate wellness. Our office is separate and they do all wellness between 9-11 am then sick visits after lunch. Plus they asked the parent to wear a mask and only one parent and no siblings.

Possibly find a new clinic that does those things? But if not ultimately I would still take my son in no matter what. Currently at the hospital with my son and we were actually transferred to a second hospital last night and both hospitals were taking huge precautions, aren't very busy and seem pretty safe to me.
