Giving birth and coming home the same day?

What was your experience giving birth and going home a few hours later? Is this feasible at all? Can you physically get up and walk around?

Due to Covid19, hete where I am fathers are not allowed to stay in the clinic and are not allowed to visit afterwards. They can be there for the birth but have to leave 2 hours after and can't come back.

I can't even imagine saying there alone without him. Is it selfish of me to want to go home the same day? Is it even realistic? How did you feel 5/6 hours after giving birth?
