How to get toddler to brush teeth?

My 2 year old does not like brushing her teeth... I have tried everything! Absolutely everything but she runs away from brushing... I give her the brush to do it herself, she licks the toothpaste, throws the toothbrush and runs away. I don’t know what else to do

We found playing a song on our phones about tooth brushing seemed to distract our son enough to let us do it, also we let him bring one of his toy animals to the sink and he brushes their teeth at the same time.

We bought play brush I think it’s about £25 but it’s a toothbrush that links to your phone and they play games. It tells you where they have brushed and missed it’s fab x

Oh god I remember when my daughter was like this! I spoke to her nursery about it and we used to sing a song, she's 5 now and she does them twice a day. Dont worry she will get there x

Have you tried an electric toothbrush? Brush baby do one that is suitable for her age

There’s a song on YouTube about brushing your teeth getting dressed washing your face etc it’s pretty good also she might not like the toothpaste try different tastes XX

I don’t have a toddler so might be way off base here (😂) but have you tried incentives? Maybe a reward chart so she can have a small treat if she brushes and lots of praise if she does it. You could try putting on a favourite song for her to brush to. Has she got a fun kiddie brush? If not, maybe take her out (I know not the easiest thing right now so maybe look online?) and let her choose one as they have lots of good designs.

My daughter is generally good with brushing her teeth but we’ve done it twice a day since she had her first tooth. If she’s having a day where she says no the. Ya simple I just don’t allow her to go out of the bathroom and do anything until she brushes her teeth. Seems to work for us 🤷🏽‍♀️
