You can wear them on a rainy or snowy day. I have a pair of ralf Lauren's, and get compliments all the time.( they are black/yellow)

I love the boots, especially when it's icy and I have to walk to the bus stop with my kiddo...but the laces would have to go, they make the boots hideous in my opinion. But if it's your style, go for it...
