When will you move your oct baby to a toddler bed?

Question

We have a new baby coming in September, so I’m thinking we should move him around that time, but don’t want to rush it!

I’m waiting until my son develops a habit of trying to climb out of his cot, I’m trying to prevent it as long as possible 😂

I have a new one coming in August but I don't think we'll move our LO to a big bed just yet. I think if I give him the choice to get out of bed at night, he will 😂

Our second baby is coming in September also. I bought a toddler bed and put it in her room for her to explore and get used to for a few days. Then I put her in it for naps for a few weeks. Now she is sleeping through the night in her toddler bed and we have moved the crib into the nursery.

I’m not going to until he’s big enough to crawl out of it but then again I don’t have another baby on the way so I can use my crib for as long as possible lol

We are also waiting until she tries to escape.. she’s still all over the place in there anyway so hopefully make it a bit longer

We switched to a toddler bed around 15 months. Our LO hated her crib and never wanted to sleep in it, as soon as she was able to get in and out on her own she loved it. Sleeps all night by herself in her bed then comes into our room and climbs into bed with hubby and I in the morning. She loves to play in her room now and climb into bed to read. She sleeps in some pretty funny positions, but I just lay a thick blanket or pillow next to the bed incase she falls out at night.

Our ped recommended waiting until she is climbing out and it is a concern for safety

We switched to a toddler bed at 10 months. My kid refused to sleep in a crib and we figured the toddler bed was safer than sleeping between us in a tall bed

Not until she can climb out. She rolls everywhere and she would definitely fall out of a big bed.
