Completely random! Hair question!!

So my husband is OBSESSED with long dark hair which I have. He believes long hair is the best feature on a woman and that's what he is really attracted too. Well I am finding that my long hair is very hard to manage and rarely ever looks nice. I have been debating about cutting it. So the first picture is me with long hair, second is the length I want to cut it too.

I am scare and don't know what to do!!!
