Diaper change struggles?

Question

I try a toy.. singing.. silly faces.. letting him hold diaper/ wipes... he is just too busy and we have 3 rolls and it's like wrestling an alligator!! I had to put him on the ground and put my feet on his arms to do a quick diaper change today and then buttoning his onesie as he is crawling away!!! LOL any advice?!!!

The only thing that every works for me is to really enthusiastically talk to him and say when I’m doing. And do it like super fast so he’s busy watching me . Doesn’t always work tho lol

Yes! Rolling around, crawling away... All covered in poo 🙆 really gotta pin her down and I feel exhausted after lol hoe on earth is a small baby so strong!!!

I've done the feet thing with 3 of my 4 kids lol... they get to a point where it's like noooo can't hold still... must.keep.moving!! Then they chill out again eventually... hang in there!

I’ve been saying it’s like trying to put a saddle on a cat. Mine has suddenly started crying when I change her too, which has never been the case in the past

I brought a new toy just for the change table but that lasted about a week or 2...
I have brought nappies that pull on, used a couple times when I really couldn't not be bothered wrestling with him hahaha
But a poo nappy is the worst when they want to roll on their bellies 🤦‍♀️

I tend to make loud noises to distract my son 😂 he also seems to like to bite his socks 🤷🏻‍♀️
