Best birth control for teens?

What's the best birth control for a teen who's still living at home and doesn't want her parents to know that she's on birth control?

It depends on what you want. I have the ring because I have IBS so I use the bathroom a lot. If I have a bad IBS day then I would cancel Out my pill with too much loose stool. That doesn't happen on the ring. Plus my schedule is weird sometimes so taking a pill at the same time everyday doesn't work for me. Other girls love the pill and find it works best for them. Some want long term use as in 3+ years of not taking anything. They get the implant or IUD. And that works great for a lot of them. Nexplanon didn't work for my body but I know tons of women who love it.

I wouldn't recommend the shot though. It has short term side effects like weight gain, hair loss, constant bleeding, etc that they can't get rid of until the 3 months are up. It also has long term side effects like creating osteoporosis and fertility issues. It's banned in several countries because f its health risks. My doctor won't even prescribe it to me.

I'd say the pill. Yes you do have to remember to take it everyday but if you put them somewhere where you'll see them or set an alarm, it's hard to forget, it also become habit. Personally, I'd think it's a lot easier than having to make a trip to the hospital for an injection every couple months

I get the shot every 3 months and it's way better than taking a pill everyday

Get Nexplanon, it takes the new appointment to insert it and its unnoticeable because its underneath your skin on the inside of your upper arm.
