When is it time to take a test?

The last 3 cycles I have had have been exactly 28 days apart, the cycles before that were not because I was on BC. My current cycle was supposed to start this past Thursday the 5, and has still not started. I took a test yesterday morning and it was negative. I have had some discharge that has been brown but not any actual bleeding, sorry if that's TMI. Still this morning no bleeding. Do I take another test today or do I wait a few more days?

I'm in the same boat but I was suppose to start on the 3rd took a test on the third and it was negative... I'm 5 days late today but will be testing again in a week, my sister in law said she way two weeks late before she showed up on a pregnancy test

I took a test when I was a 5 days late and it was negative. A week later I took another and it was positive. I'd wait a few days then test again.
