Follicle count?

Hi ladies, I've been recommended to a fertility clinic and had my first test/ultrasound today. Doctor said I have 10 follicles in total at CD 7. 5 on each side. He said that's a good. I'm 25 years old and I do have 1 child that was conceived naturally. I live in Canada so idk if the range varies? I read online that under 10 is low and over 10 is good so I'm right at the cut off. It that still a good number?

10 is okay, but at your age I would expect more. The thing with antral follicle counts is that it varies each month, so maybe it’s 10 this month, but it might be 35 next month. I’m almost 37 and I’ve never had an afc lower than 12 or higher than 30 over the last 8 months. Generally my number is around 20. If you’re planning to do IVF then 10 is an amazing number! Also, at your age most of your eggs are genetically normal so that gives you a very good chance of success!
