Has anyone tried IUI?

I want to know what the steps are. I know that the sperm needs to get washed. But how many visits to the doctor? Does the doctor only inseminate once?

Before The IUI, the doctor will want to do several tests, blood tests, Ultrasounds, HSG, sperm evaluation, then you'll take the ovulation Meds. And they'll do the IUI. Good thing. Is that they can usually do all of that within one cycle if you choose.

Gearing up for my second IUI. Here is how my first one went; day 3 of my period I had an ultrasound, was given femara to take from days 3-7, second ultrasound was done mid cycle (I had one 21mm follicle), did the trigger shot the night of my second ultrasound, 36 hours later husband went in for his part 😀, hour and half later I had the IUI done. I had three appts (2 ultrasounds and then my IUI) Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any question.

I'm straying my first IUI cycle on the 20th.. From what I know on day 3 I'm going to start injecting myself with gonal F.. I'm going to have to go every other day for labs and ultrasound monitoring. When they start seeing the follicles I'll do a trigger injection of Ovidrol then have the IUI 2 days in a row.. My husband has some sperm issues so I'm praying praying praying this works!!!!
