Hi there! Do you mean a subchorionic hematoma/hemorrhage? If so, yes I had this! My OB described it as a piece of the placenta detached slightly or shifted, causing a blood cot to form. Everything was fine and then suddenly at about 9 1/2 weeks, I started bleeding pretty heavily. No cramps though. I thought for sure I was miscarrying. It was so so scary. I’ll be honest, it was the scariest, most stressful part of my entire pregnancy. The ER checked me out and couldn’t find the source of bleeding, did an ultrasound and to my surprise the baby was just fine! They just diagnosed me with a threatened miscarriage. A couple days later I followed up with my OB. She did an ultrasound and she saw the SCH right away. She said it was one of the larger ones she has seen. Apparently it can be more common with IVF. But that most do go on to heal themselves and no issues with baby. She was honest with me though and told me to be cautiously optimistic. I continued to have bleeding episodes and then spotting for a couple weeks and then it just stopped! I was considered high risk and she did weekly ultrasounds on me for several weeks just to make me feel better and to monitor it. Eventually it got smaller and almost undetectable on US. And baby was always perfect! All cases are different. Some women never bleed at all, or may just spot a little. They may just have a small one. But most do heal themselves and are never a problem! I can’t sit here and tell you not to worry because I totally get it. But know that it’s not uncommon at all and usually it heals itself as the pregnancy progresses! :)
Anyone that has done IVF.....,
Anyone that has done ivf if you got pregnant did anyone have an issue where there uterus had a small tear?? I’m currently almost 9 weeks and at my 8 week check up they found a very small tear doctor told it was common and wasn’t worried about it said it would more than likely heal it’s self and just told me to take it easy. But lordy it’s so hard not to worry about it I’m so scared and stressed about it.
