How expensive was your tattoo?

I want something on my palm, my boyfriend has offered to pay but if it’s overly expensive I won’t go through with it. I don’t have an idea on how much tattoo cost. Share y’all pics and price! 🧜🏻‍♀️

It honestly depends on the artist, the area, the size, the detail and whether color of black and white. I’m going to tell you right now that a palm tattoo is a WASTE of money. The skin sheds off quickly and easily on your hands so tattoos there tend to fade very fast. I have been getting tattooed for over fifteen years. Most of my pieces are large and cost between $400-$800 per piece. I STRONGLY recommend you RESEARCH your local artists portfolios before making an appointment. They may ask for a % of the total cost as a down payment to ensure you show up for the appointment. I also recommend reconsidering your choice of location. The piece will probably be $250-$350 is what I’m guessing (whole palm?) and WILL fade. Not to mention with how dangerous it is to go without washing your hands right now trying to let it heal properly is off the table.

Like everyone else said, there are many variables. Size, location, color/no color, time, and how well you sit for it. Every tattoo shop has a shop minimum, where I am it’s usually $60-70. Some places charge by the hour, some charge based on the piece itself. You’re going to have to do your own research on tattoo shops in your area and go to them for pricing.
