Question

After giving birth did you shave your vagina during the recovery period or just left it to grow into a big bush? And did you shave for your check up appointment or not?

Answer

I didn’t do anything first few weeks as stitches and such healed and I didn’t want to see or touch the mess that resulted from pushing out 10lb 1oz of baby lol. I’d looked down there soon after my first baby and was horrified do never again. Sometime before my follow up appt I used a trimmer to clean everything up but not take an actual razor to it. I doubt the dr cares at all but it made me feel better.

I shave the top, but not my lips since I have stitches

I did not shave for my 6 week postpartum visit- my OB had seen everything, no sense for me. I also didn’t think I’d have a vaginal exam- and did. 
I have shaved since then, just to feel more like myself.
