13 years ago one of the biggest tragedies next to Pearl Harbor and the assassination of JFK took place on American soil, 9/11. Once again we overcame, united, and recovered. Still my heart hurts, it still brings tears to my eyes. I was 11 years old. I was sitting in my math class in junior high. Every movement was stopped, hands clasped over mouths as gasps of horror escaped, every single student/teachers eyes were glued to the television as we watched our country go under attack. My grandmother was a flight attendant at that time. She was suppose to be aboard a plane for American west airlines and my heart nearly stopped. I'm so very thank ful she never made that flight, but my heart sank heavy as the 911 tapes of those who did played over and over. Where were you?
