So I had my high risk appointment today, and my blood pressure was high (164/88) regardless of the changes in my blood pressure medication. They sent me right to L&D for 24 hours of labs and blood pressure monitoring, a 24 hour urine, and steroid shots for baby's lungs. My boyfriend COULD be up here with me, but my mom won't babysit our son so that he can be. She's our call person in case I have to have an emergency C-section and agreed to babysit the entire time I'm in the hospital after having the baby for a planned C-section... They are starting me with 24 hours while they run tests, but if it comes back that I have preeclampsia I'll either be here while they try to control it for a few weeks, or have an emergency C-section, depending on how bad things are. So, if I have to have an emergency, my boyfriend won't be able to be here because my mom would have to drive 45 minutes to come get my son before my boyfriend can even come to the hospital...
