Diagnosed with preeclampsia while giving birth over 40 weeks

Hi ladies, I don’t know if anyone else is or had experienced anything I am currently going through, but I gave birth a week ago and the day I gave birth they told me that I had preeclampsia.....of course I asked how are they just now finding out that I had it because I had suspicions that I could of had it because I noticed at my appointments that my pressure was rising but they weren’t ever extremely high they went from being 120/90 to 130/90 within my last few weeks of pregnancy and they never thought to consider that it could possibly be preeclampsia because I never had symptoms no dizziness no headaches no anything. I was put on magnesium the day I gave birth but I wasn’t on it for 24 hours because they said that my levels were looking good. After that the next day they kept a close monitor on me and noticed it was getting higher and higher and told me that I was going to have to take medication to lower it. I don’t know what they were putting me on but I took 3 different dosages just the get my levels to drop which was a concern because once it did drop and get to a “normal level” I began to have those symptoms of preeclampsia that they were talking about. I’ve taken many tests and asked them many times about everything I was ever concerned about and they never once tested me or ruled out preeclampsia and now I’m dealing with it all with my baby and im concerned for my wellbeing. I’ve been put in lebatalol twice a day everyday and I’m still having high blood pressure I’m surprised they let me leave the hospital they kept me for an extra couple of days because of my blood pressure and they kept a close monitor on me but they were never at the levels that they wanted them to be of course. I left with my blood pressure at a level of over 140/90 and still on the same dosage they got me. I’m now experiencing slight dizziness and fatigue and heart palpitations, shakiness and I’m only 21 with my first baby and I can’t help but to believe I could of been able to avoid this if they took my concerns a bit more seriously. I’m always on top of my game and whenever I notice something off I always say something always!!! But they always brushed it off. How do you not rule off me having preeclampsia if everytime you have me and notice I have high blood pressure that you don’t think or assume that there could be some type of leading cause for it especially if I never had it prior to pregnancy.....anyways I have another appointment tomorrow morning and hopefully they’ll be able to help me I know I will probably be admitted but on a serious note if something like this happened I’d want to be taken care of and taken seriously because this is a serious thing to have. I have a baby and I have to be able to provide for her if my life is at risk for something that wasn’t payed closely attention too then I want something that’ll actually work and benefit me. Has anyone else went through this?
