My boyfriends neighbors

My boyfriend lives in an apartment building. It’s a small one.

Currently, the two apartments that are closest to my boyfriends has single older men living in them.

One is about 37. He lives alone.

And the other guy is in his 50s and he lives alone.

My bf and I are in our 20s and I am a very private person. I don’t live with my bf but I stay often with him. I hate that every time I leave, there’s always people right there outside.

My family lives in a country area. We have a big yard and our neighbors are far away.

Anyways, my bf always makes a big deal about me talking to those guys. I personally don’t feel comfortable with them and I try to avoid them as much as possible. Yesterday

I came to spend time with my bf. He was outside smoking and the guy in his 50s was standing there too. When I walked up I said hello to both of them and then it was silent and awkward. My boyfriend said goodbye to the man and we walked up to the apartment.

My bf started arguing with me and said that I’m rude for not saying hi to the man or having a conversation with him. I told him that I did say “hello” and asked if he heard me. And my bf said that it looked like I only said hello to him and not the old man.

But the man doesnt talk to me either.

I’m just a private person and I’m an introvert. I don’t mean to come off rude or whatever. I just don’t like that I can’t be comfortable in my boyfriends apartment. I hope we can find a house one day soon
